We are seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our team. This person will be responsible for processing the majority of the accounting transactions and will provide general accounting support for our Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy, work independently while effectively managing assigned responsibilities, and exhibit excellent time management skills to meet departmental deadlines.

Candidate must be located within the greater Los Angeles area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding to production jobs, media orders, and overhead expense GL accounts
  • Review and approve employee expense reports in Concur
  • Prepare the weekly payment run for review and enter payments into FastPay and various portals for approval to pay
  • Manage and create virtual credit cards
  • Issue client invoices for production, media, and agency fees in accordance with contracted terms 
  • Create, maintain, and close jobs in our accounting system, which are used for entering timesheets and client billing
  • Apply payments received by clients to appropriate invoices in the accounting system 
  • Code and enter monthly credit card statements according to data received from Operations and Production teams and import into Advantage
  • Send out reminder on missing time to agency employees 
  • Other ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Google Workspace; experience with Advantage Software and Concur is a plus

The salary range for this position is $50-55K. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications in relation to the job description and the actual job duties of the role. In addition to salary, we also offer comprehensive benefits (covering 100% medical, dental, vision and offer open PTO, and more). The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles to find the right candidate for Zambezi.
