Zambezi’s media division, Scale by Zambezi, is seeking a Paid Social Strategist to join our growing team. Scale is a modern media practice that believes in creative media backed by data. The Paid Social Strategist role is to live deeply within social platforms, supporting the day-to-day operational success of the paid social activations. This person will be the executional lead in implementing, activating and optimizing campaigns, while collaborating with internal teams to support client business needs.
Candidate must be located within the greater Los Angeles area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Strategy & Planning (15%)
- Develop paid social media strategies with AMD that align with client goals and objectives
- Research and identify audience insights, emerging trends, and platform innovations to inform campaign strategies
- Stay informed of available placements and formats across platforms to recommend solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate paid social strategies into broader media plans
Execution & Optimization (50%)
- Setup the end-to-end execution of paid social campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others
- Monitor campaign performance and provide data-driven insights for optimization to meet or exceed KPIs
- Ensure proper tracking, tagging, and reporting are in place for accurate performance measurement
- Optimize campaigns based on performance
Reporting & Analysis (25%)
- Prepare regular performance reports, highlighting key learnings, successes, and opportunities for future campaigns
- Contribute to client presentations by building out slides to showcase paid social strategies, performance insights, and recommendations
Collaboration & Communication (10%)
- Work closely with internal teams to align on campaign deliverables and timelines
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for paid social activation and troubleshooting
- Build strong relationships with platform representatives and media vendors to stay ahead of industry developments
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years experience, specifically in Paid Social
- Must have hands-on, executional experience in-platform – setting up and launching campaigns, managing budgets, and implementing optimizations
- Meta required. TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snap and others are optional.
- Advanced knowledge of Meta Business Manager: Ads Manager and Events Manager (Pixel & CAPI), Meta Business Suite, Meta Blueprint
- Experience with performance marketing (specifically in e-commerce, lead gen, B2B), a plus
- Knowledge of Google Analytics/Omniture and Facebook/Instagram/Amazon/Affiliate platforms, a plus
- Excellent data analytics skills
- Passionate about staying ahead of the curve in social media trends, tools and innovations
- Self-starter, able to work with a high level of independence
- Strong ability to prepare presentations and share with internal stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of digital and planning & buying
- Advanced software knowledge of core programs such as Google Suite, MSOffice applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
